- Trek to the height of 15000 ft above sea level and witness the aesthetic views of Buran Ghati Pass.
- Enjoy the vast green stretch of Dayara Meadows.
- Walk through the dense forests of pine trees till the end of the trail, moving toward the pristine lakes of Chandranahan.
- Enjoy a visit to the tiny Barua village with old wooden houses, fruit laden trees, and apple orchards.

- After you deboard at Shimla Old Bus Stand at 6.30 AM, you will be taken to Rohru in a shared vehicle.
- Enjoy the scenic drive to Rohru as you pass through charming villages like Diude, Tonglu, Tikri, and some others.
- Reach the campsite at Janglik, relax and end the day with a piping hot meal.
- Wake up to a beautiful morning in Janglik and start your trek from Janglik to Dayara Thatch. Today, you will be facing a moderate ascent, which will take 5-6 hours to cover.
- On your way, you can enjoy panoramic views of the small villages of Diude and Tonglu. Walk through forest trails lined with pine, oak, and deodar trees.
- After reaching Dayara meadows, your tents will be pitched, and you can rest for the night.
- After a hearty breakfast, get ready for a 4-hour trek to Litham. This trail involves trekking a route offering a gradual ascent with water streams along the path.
- You will be trekking through dense forests and lush green meadows till you see the silver Birch Forest and Chandranahan falls. Witness a scenic view of the snow-capped Dhauladhar Range.
- Reach the campsite at Litham and enjoy the rest of the day. After a delectable meal, retire to your tent at the campsite for the night.
- Day 4 introduces you to mountains and high altitudes as you trek to Chandranahan Lake for acclimatisation.
- You will make your way through steep ascents and descents, ensuring a good warm-up. Chandranahan, a group of 7 lakes, is simply beautiful! You will cross at least 3 of these lakes on your trek.
- As you ascend to the waterfall, take a photo stop to capture the aesthetic beauty of small lakes surrounded by snow fields.
- After spending some time at the lake, head back to the campsite in Litham and call it a day.
- Wake up early, have a delicious breakfast, and set off for Dhunda. A 5–6 hour trek will take you to this place. This trail has a gradual ascent and a few steep descents.
- Enjoy a beautiful view of Litham’s grasslands to your left and the majestic view of Rupin Valley to your right. You can also see the Buran Ghati Trail from here.
- Your campsite will be pitched in the middle of snow-capped mountains offering you a 360-degree view of white wonderland with blended green grasslands and grey trails.
- Start your day with a healthy breakfast and brace yourself for this challenging trek, which will include steep ascents and descent along the way.
- You will be camping near a river today. Walk alongside the ridge from Dhunda campsite and climb over boulders to reach the base of this pass. Drink enough water and maintain your pace while shifting your bag’s weight from one shoulder to another.
- Buran Ghati is around 15,000 ft above sea level, making it a rather difficult yet thrilling climb. The top is narrow and has a narrow ledge. Firstly, you need to get down to the snowfield 100m below the pass. The remaining descents will be on smaller ledges, making it easy to slide down.
- Give yourself a pat on the back when you make it to the summit.
- Today marks the last day of your Buran Ghati trek. After breakfast, trek down to Barua Village. Follow the cascaded trail through a dense forest of pine trees and green shrubs. After an hour’s trek, you will see apple orchards and some peach trees.
- After crossing this village, you will reach the road bridge in half an hour. You will be dropped off at Shimla in a shared vehicle.

- The best time to go for Buran Ghati Trek is from May to June and Sept to October. During this time, the weather is perfect for trekking which offers majestic views of lush green meadows, snow-capped mountain peaks and crystal clear river streams.
- The starting point for this trek is Shimla bus stand. From there, you will be taken to Rohru. Your trekking starts from Rohru.
- The highest altitude for this trek 15000 ft.

- The difficulty level for this trek is moderate to difficult. The highest altitude is 15000 ft. The total distance covered is 27 kms. If you are someone who does not work out regularly, it is advisable to start working out at least a month before the trek to avoid any discomfort. If you can to Jog 5 kms in 30 minutes, your stamina is good to go. You can prepare yourself by running and doing cardio exercises.
- This is a moderate to difficult trek and will require physical strength, Recommendation to get physically fit is to start working out at least a month before the trek.
- To gain stamina, you can try Cardio and running along with stretching every day to strengthen your muscles and work on your flexibility.
- If you are able to Jog 5 kms in 30 minutes, your stamina is good to go.
- The total trek distance is 27 kms. Each day, you will be covering trekking for 4-5 hours approximately.
- In case you are sick and not able to complete the trek, you will be sent down to the base camp depending on the circumstances. Kindly note that a refund or reschedule for the same is not applicable. Any extra expenses incurred during this transfer will be borne by the traveler.
